Preface

As an important part of popular culture, animation has always received extensive attention from all walks of life. After the reform and opening up, especially since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, a number of excellent original animation works have emerged in Nanyue, which not only greatly enriched the spiritual and cultural needs of the people, but also made a positive contribution to the development of advanced socialist culture. In order to summarize the artistic achievements of Guangzhou’s animation reform and opening up over the past 40 years, the Propaganda Department of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Guangzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles co-organized the "New Era of Animation-Guangzhou Animation Art 40 Years Achievement Exhibition", aiming to implement an internship, General Secretary Jin Ping, inspected Guangdong The spirit of the important speech inspired Guangzhou Animation to work hard and continue to be at the forefront of the country.

After decades of development, Guangzhou’s animation art has made remarkable achievements, with excellent works such as "Zhang Xiaohe", "Food Adventure", "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf", "Funny Campus", "If History is a Flock of Meows", and continue to create China International Comics Festival , China Animation Golden Dragon Award platform, and jointly organized the "First National Animation Art Works Exhibition" series of activities with the Chinese Artists Association, building a national animation academic highland belonging to Guangzhou.

"A New Era of Animation-Guangzhou Animation Art 40 Years Achievement Exhibition" brings together representative works, figures, typical cases of different historical stages, as well as corresponding historical materials and documents, highlighting the historical, cultural, contemporary and academic aspects of Guangzhou's animation art The four characteristics of sex, through reviewing classics, looking at the contemporary, and looking forward to the future, explore the context of the development of animation, inspire animation artists and entrepreneurs to climb to the top, help the spread of socialist core values, let the times record the journey, and make classics become eternal.
